Kulik and Yagudin for me ...

Ilia - I'll be always on my knees in front of him for preventing an "Olympic Champion" called Stojko ... :sheesh:

As for Plushenko - to me he's just an (impressing!) number of titles and medals ... but nothing really to write home about ... plus way overmarked when it comes to presentation marks ... whereas ...

... Yags always will be all about heart, soul, guts & memories. Legend!

Urmanov is my all time favorite male skater. He's so handsome and artistic. I thought he had a lot of interesting programs and he was good technically too. It's too bad he wasn't just a bit more consistent. He won everything except a world title. His costumes were definitely something to talk about, lol, but I generally liked them. Well, not the Princess of the Circus one. That was just too ugly even for me. haha

I haven't really come across a Russian man who I haven't liked though. Odd... I guess they've all got something that appeals to me in some way.

Plushenko for his no holds barred approach in all it's obnoxiousness. Love him or hate him, he'll always be imprinted in my mind the most.

Alexi for sure. Just loved that he was someone I felt you could relate to more in his programs than Plushenko.

I totally believe Urmanov would have won the 1997 World Championship if not for the groin injury. He was the European Champion and had won the short program, but he aggravated his injury during the LP warm-up and was forced to withdraw. I was so !

Yagudin, no question. I know this will upset some people, but while I admire Plushenko's longevity, I don't think he has even a tenth of Yagudin's artistry and genius.

Too bad we don´t have a multiple choice poll, I love Russian skaters. I would have voted Plushenko, Abt, Kulik and Other (Gachinski). Yagudin unfortunately became very overrated after he retired but when he was competing I was his fan.
