I am working on a VERY thorough list of projected and known entries for this event... if anyone can help me in two ways before I get it finished it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Because of a lack of published Nationals results, etc. there are several countries I really have no clue who (if anyone) they will send in each discipline. Does anyone have any speculation or confirmed information about who will be sent by India, Kazahkstan, Mongolia, Korea, Singapore, Thailand or Uzbekistan?

2. If you know of any 100% CONFIRMED entries by any country please post them here. My list will be up later today...

Prilepko and Lau too.

I've read that Hirai/Mizutani are not sending. Only Reed/Reed will compete for Japan in ice dance.

Singapore and Malaysia have traditionnaly their championship in the second part of the season.

Are the Japanese mens, pairs and dance entries confirmed by the Japanese federation or just the ladies? I've heard the same list of entries for all 4 disciplines from several people, just wondering if it is for sure or not...

Thank you for the info! Do you know what men, pairs and dance teams South Korea is sending? Here is an article confirming Kozuka's withdrawal:

No reason is given but I would be inclined to assume that Takahashi and Kozuka are both avoiding the event so they have more time to prepare themselves for Vancouver.

For the men, it will be Kim Min-Suk alone.
They are not sending pairs or dance teams since they don't have any.

Everything I said is the most-like, but no confirmation yet. Only one alternative will be Yuna Kim replacing one of the ladies, but I know it will not going to happen.

As for the Japanese ladies, we're talking that Akiko would probably withdraw because she's been competing every month since August (NZ Trophy, Japanese regionals, CoC, SC, GPF and Nationals) she needs a break before the Olys.
Akiko's replacement candidates would be Fumie, Ayumi Gotoh (still 17 and the dark horse at the Nationals- 2nd in the Senior Ladies in both regionals AND Western division), Nana Takeda.
Fumie might be considering to retire from competitions, so the qualifier may be Ayumi.
I personally wish Nana could go...

Thank you honey! I am still working on both this list and the one I have started for Junior Worlds and hopefully should have some more information for that list tomorrow at some point. I'd love to see Akiko participate but if she was to withdraw I would personally prefer to see Fumie take the spot - she may be having some issues with consistency this season but she is still a great competitor.

I saw this article on web too, and was quite surprised ... though she placed 6th at the Nationals I thought Haruka wouldn't fall into the criteria JSF announced back in June because she's been competing in the Junior GPS and also in the Junior Nationals, just like Kanako who placed 5th.
