What bothers me is the technical committee didn't make the call, it was more like they intimidated Scott and Tessa into dropping it, per the article. They said they were "looking into it". So they could continue to train it only to have the rug pulled out from under ... or drop it. It stinks to high heaven.
Meanwhile apparently the russian ISU technical controller personally assured Domnina and Shabalin that their belt moves and lifts were perfectly fine.

I just wish they would change the whole lift. It dosen't even seem like a lift to me, more like a balance move that was okay in Pink Flyod, but really does not work in the romantic, classical Mahler freedance. I hope that the new exit at least fits the music more.
