Results from the first of the senior events are in!

1 Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir WO 43.98
2 Vanessa Crone / Paul Poirier CO 37.27
3 Kaitlyn Weaver / Andrew Poje NO 36.87
4 Andrea Chong / Guillaume Gfeller QC 34.11
    5 Allie Hann-McCurdy / Michael Coreno EO 33.59
6 Mylene Girard / Jonathan Pelletier QC 33.45
    7 Tarrah Harvey / Keith Gagnon BC/YT 33.11
    8 Karen Routhier / Eric Saucke-Lacelle QC 32.03
9 Kharis Ralph / Asher Hill CO 31.43
10 Megan Wilson / Marcus Connolly QC 25.73
11 Helene Letourneau / Kevin Boczar EO 24.97
12 Sarah Arnold / Justin Trojek WO 23.79
13 Sophie Knippel / Benjaman Westenberger CO 23.59
    14 Sarah Lysne / Christopher Steeves AB/NT/NU 23.49
    15 Rebecca Fowler / Iliya Koreshev BC/YT 22.15

Good lead for Virtue/Moir and very close as expected between Crone/Poirier and Weaver/Poje. Teams 4-9 are also very close - kinda surprised to see Ralph/Hill so low. Should be a great battle in the OD and FD between all teams.

Personally I expected Ralph/Hill to be about 7th after the CD. The top 6 teams all beat them in the CD at nationals last year.

Ralph/Hill have never been that good at CDs. Being behind Harvey/Gagnon and Routhier/Saucke-Lacelle is a bit of a surprise.

Otherwise the top 9 is pretty much as expected.

Huge score for Virtue/Moir. Which dance was this?

    That's surprising to me.
According to the previous competitions, I think WP's expression of TR is better and more appropriate than CP's, hope we will be able to watch it tomorrow...

Yes, I thought so too. However C&P probably are faster with deeper edges than W&P. In any case, they are going into the OD nearly tied.

C/P have outstanding CDs - for their age. I remember at World's last year the Eurosport commentators were just blown away by them. I was expecting to see them in second place and I am glad they are. Hopefully, Ralph and Hill can make up some ground

Just from pics Kaitlyn looked like she was forcing it a bit, while C&P looked pretty confident.
