For some bizarre reason unknown to me, Skate Canada holds exhibition practice prior to the medal ceremonies for pairs, ladies, and ice dance and the hall of fame presentations, which are followed by the mens' LP and mens' medal ceremony, which is then followed by the exhibition gala. Crazy scheduling if you ask me.

I've always been of the mindset that each disciplines' medal ceremonies should take place at the end of the disciplines' final programs, not the day after. Also, I've always thought exhibition practice should take place right before the exhibition gala, not several hours before it. But hey, it's just my opinion.

The US Nationals this year have an even crazier schedule spread over two weeks. Madness!

Thanks museksk8r, does make it rather difficult for the competitor's in the senior men's. I had not checked the schedule and thought the men's event would be much earlier since it was a Sunday. I assumed it would be first on the schedule.

Anyone have any updates/info as to how Eladj Baldé has been doing? I miss watching him compete.

for those that didn't get to watch, Patrick Chan won, and his marks were inflated. He did however skate very well, the only error being a step out of his first triple axel. He landed the second one, with a double toe on the end.

I couldn't get on the forums during the mens competition, it was a pretty good competition.

Patrick won (268), Vaughn in 2nd, Kevin Reynolds in 3rd, Shawn 4th, Joey 5th
