Pairs and Mens have gone on pretty much in spectacular fasion. Yes, M/B bombed, but other than that the competition - especially teh longs - have been impressive...

what is it about that rink that gets teh skaters to be at their best?

For one thing, the rink looks full. I think that that makes a huge difference to everyone, both the spectators and the skaters. I don't know whether the Spokane rink is smaller than say LA, or whether the attendance is better, but the rink looks and sounds full.

for the final flights it has been very full judging by the shots on TV

the first two groups the seats have been pretty open.

and from what I understand the rink is much smaller (capacity wise) than LA.
