Pairs FS

Was hoping S/S would keep the lead but oh well.
It's definitely nice to see skaters doing well but I'm kind of on that iffy...side that K/S set a world record for their LP performance here. Scores were generally inflated but they were inflated back in GPF too.. and S/Z performance in GPF, IMHO, was much better than K/S here..

and Russian Federation should totally do their "politiking" for M/T too (half-joking, half-serious; I like this Russian pair more than K/S)

The funny thing is, it's not just K/S. It seems like all the Russian pair teams decided to colour-coordinate themselves.

Nice observation. Didn't notice that. Seems that all the ladies were wearing some kind of red! (Wonder if there's a reason behind it ...)

But my point was (or rather, question) if Kavaguti and Smirnov's outfits looked veeeeeery similar to that of Savchenko and Szolkowy's last year.

Well i've onyl just caught up with watching the coverage,

I have to say I'm pretty confused about all the wuz robbing for S&S. There were errors on the technical elements in the LP by both K&S and S&S. I felt it was going to be clsoe and could have gone either way to be honest, depending on personal preference. Personally I enjoyed the German's performance in the LP more, but there was very little in it.

As I said in the SP thread I love M&T and think they are a great team that will only get better - i take it they are staying in after this year?

I felt extremely sorry for V&M, well at least I did for V! Stanislav had a very bad day and when he has a bad day it's not pretty! She was on fire with all the elements, but he really struggled through the whole programme and seemed to care even less for the presentation because of his jump errors. It would almost be forgviable if he evn showed any emotion whatsoever but he doesn't!

Anyway I don't buy the konspricay theories that the gold in paris will go to a Russian couple in Vancouver. I still think it's Shen &Zhao's to lose and if the Germans and Russians skate like they did at Euros then shen & Zhoa may win by Pluschenko proportions.
