Would absolutely love it if Ponsero wins it, or for that matter if he wins medal of any kind, but looks highly unlikely. Verner is another big head case so don't know how he will perform. Hopefully Javier Fernandez will do well.

Exactly! The thing with Plushenko is his consistency. At the Olympics, the men just have to hit their elements. Plushenko is beatable.

I don't like Plushenko's free program this year but it's amazing what he can do even injured. However, this will be beatable in Vancouver. So I hope he goes home and works on his step sequences, keeps his stamina up, and doesn't get any more injured. Long rule the King!

I agree Stephane scored proved that. may be most skaters are psyched out Plushy's presence including Joubert.

Grate performance by Lambiel, especially after his disappointing short. If he went clean he could have beaten Plushenko, just behing him on TES and ahead of him on PCS. Truly inspired, I didn't think he could do it

Plushenko is probably favourite for the Olympics but it is by no means a foregone conclusion. How will Joubert react to this defeat? I think the judges were kind to him, will he have time to up his game for Vancouver?

Would like to have seen Brezina medal, surely a future european champion. Will Voronov get the second Russian spot to Vancouver? He was a long way of the pace here.
