Tomas Verner is withdrawn, replaced by Pavel Kaska
With Verner's withdrawal, Adam Rippon will now skate in one of the two final short program warm-up groups. Kaska slides in as the lowest-ranked skater to compete in the "later" session.
Ahh what happened? Unless he is injured i'm surprised he pulled out, even if he had a partial meltdown again he and Brezina's placements would likely add up to less than 28 and then next year Czech Republic would still have 2 spots for the men. Now I fear the Czechs will be lucky if they get two spots next year where Pavel is so unknown and his personal best FS score is only 115and if they only get one spot that most likely means we won't see Tomas at worlds next year either
. Poor Tomas
hope he is ok!

The skaters are drawn in different groups on the basis of their ranking.
Like this
Kaska is ranked 66 and in the second half. Good for him and good luck. He can skate without pressure and surprise us. I am excited to see how he does
Sad and really wondering about Verner![]()

Any reports on Adam since we haven't seen him at the Olys?
I am wondering if he now has a solid 3A.
