Excited to see the ladies roster! I'm really looking forward to Radionova's and Ovcharova's skating. But now that I watched the nationals from a month ago, I should keep Biryukova's name in mind as well.
This time Shelepen is in but Makarova's out, I kind of prefer watching Makarova but I'm excited to find out how Shelepen's been doing too, since JGPF. I guess this competition is the key to the selection of the Russian Junior Worlds team (am I correct on this?) so Makarova is not aiming for the Junior Worlds, am I right? (Is Makarova already on the senior Worlds team alogn with Leonova?)
Is the last entry on the men's roster above the same skater whose name was transcribed as Zhan Bush in the JGP? I've always found this name interesting in this transcription.
Compulsory Dance - Westminster Waltz
1. Ksenia Monko & Kirill Khaliavin 38.69
2. Elena Ilinykh & Nikita Katsalapov 36.85
3. Ekaterina Pushkash & Jonathan Guerreiro 36.56
4. Marina Antipova & Artem Kudashev 34.88
5. Valeria Zenkova & Valerie Sinitsin 32.69
6.Tatiana Baturintseva & Ivan Volobuiev 32.19
Well, I don't think that Makarova will go to Junior Worlds because she is already in senior Olympic and Worlds team. But if she wants to go I think Russian FS federation will send her, last year Alena Leonova didn't compete at Junior Nationals, but went to the Junior Worlds.

Wow...the ladies standing after the SP is quite shocking isn't it? So both Tuktamisheva and Shelepen will be in the penultimate group in the free. I'm disappointed at Radionova's standing but hope she will do well in the free, she's such a lovely skater.
@Lucky Star, thanks for the info as always! Ruusia has three spots for the junior worlds, correct? I'm excited to find out which three get to go.
Yes, three spots But some girls are too young for Junior Worlds (Zaseeva, Medvedeva, Lipnitskaya, Sotnikova, Tuktamysheva), so I think that Shelepen, Biryukova and Ovcharova or Agafonova will go.

But for me the best today was Julia Lipnitskaya (15.02 p.m.), she has crazy flexibility (I've never seen spirals like this!!!) and amazing spins, sooo fast! Even better than Zhang's or Czisny's. She also did 3Lz-2T and 3F and she is only 11 years old! Wow!

Surprising. Sotnikova had an absolute meltdown in her LP (4 falls). I assume Agafonova, Ovcharova and Shelepen will go to JW. Agree that Lipnitskaya has amazing potential - those spirals are unreal! Overall, this is a really deep field. Most ladies have all the triples (much more than the 3T or 3S we saw a few years ago) and nearly all of them are quite young.
Stolbova/Klimov just upset Novik/Kuznetsov for the junior title - Novik fell on her 3S and they didn't do a combo. S/K had a clean skate. Semenova/Petukhov seem to be a pair to watch out for the future - she's only 12 and they have really nice abilities. They are coached by Lyudmila Kalinina, I believe.
It's cool that the Russian fed has a live feed - I'm having fun watching it.
