I voted Berezhnaya / Sikharulidze. They looked so well matched. Their technique looked so pure and their artistry was unmatched. Whenever I would see them skate they made me hold my breath. Pure beauty. Besided their speed looked effortless and smooth.
Other: Rodnina with her both partners.
Petrova & Tikhonov. I'm not even sure why, but something just draws me to them emotionally. I think it might be because they seem like nice people. lol.
I voted for Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze, but Mishkutenok/Dmitriev are a very, very close second for me. Their Liebestraum and Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 LPs are absolutely breathtaking and stand the test of time.
Also, I think they deserved the gold in 1994 over Gordeeva/Grinkov at the Olympics.
I said Elena & Anton, but I also loved Bechke & Petrov and Leonova/Khavlko
I adore Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze. Just their stroking alone was stunning, so smooth. They had wonderful basics and were so fast and powerful. They really complemented each other with their artistry. Anton was more expressive facially, and Elena with her body movements.
Their spread eagle/spiral move is one of my favorites moves I've seen in skating.
