Who is your favourite Russian ice dance team of all time?
Usova and PLATOV, as professionals.
Since I am a relatively new Ice Dance fan, I am only familiar with Navka/Kostomarov and Domnina/Shabalin. I like both teams, but I'm not crazy about them. However, I really like Brobova/Soloviev and Ilinykh/Katsalapov, so I checked other. I would have to say that I/K are my favorite Russian ice dance couple as of now and probably one of my favorite teams out of everyone currently competing.
Grischuk/PlatovTheir programs still give me chills.
mmmmm I liked Usova & Platov, myself.
I said Krylova/Ovsiannikov but it was a tie between them and Klimova/Ponomarenko
Usova and Zhulin! Creative, interesting, flawless edges and posture. Superb CD's. They had it all. Sadly, :wuzrobbed: much of the time.
But I also really like Krylova/Ovsianniakov. Their dancing has really grown on me over the years, and stands out as unique when I look back. It was sad that their career was shortened by her injury.
But Pakhomova and Gorshkov really, really need to be on that list!
