I'm very sad for Nancy and her family. Sometimes, there's more important things than generating more interested in skating again. :/

Thanks for posting this, Wicked. What a heartbreaking article. The anecdote about the Zamboni was so lovely, and just devastating considering the circumstances now. Clearly this was a man who was both loving and loved--a salt-of-the-earth guy who embodied the Golden Rule. Kristi Yamaguchi, who roomed with Nancy at the Olympics and came up with Nancy through many years of competing, offered some lovely comments on a morning TV show. Apparently Mr. Kerrigan used to tease Kristi and Nancy about their placements in school figures, at which neither excelled. What happened to him doesn't bear thinking about.
