Min Jung Kim KOR 4CC Long
Skating to music from "Les Miserables", 16 years old, youngest female skater here, I think she is going to the Olympics with Yuna; beautiful triple luz to start, double toe double loop; triple flip, fell out of landing edge; triple loop nice; nice stretch on leg position of her spin; second triple lutz; she has nice needs; nice triple sal double axel sequence; nice lay back spin; losing speed in circular step sequence than does a double axel at the end; another double axel double toe combo; and a death drop. this should get the crowd cheering. they are standing up; PJ impressed by her poise and confidence throughout the skate; Score 58.87/42.16=101.03 NSB by over 34 points; she is ecstatic total 154.71 currently 1st.

Alexe started out strong, but then petered out at the end. :(
Just had stepout of the 3R jump & her 3F/2T/2R was great, just a tiny bobble at the end. Also, she popped another jump.
But not bad, not bad at all, pretty good in fact!

Alexe Gillies USA 4CC Long
Skating to "On the Town" by Bernstein; opens with a nice triple flip; her debut in an ISU championship; triple lutz and double toe combo to start; triple loop, she falls; lay back into bielman, not the greatest; lovely sillouette created by the spiral sequence says Pj; a very secure double axel; triple toe, double toe double loop combo, she rotate with no speed; a triple lutz, nicely done; pops a triple sal, but does a double toe at the end; nice circular step sequence to the music, most musical of the evening so far; travels a bit at the end in her spins; a charming program says PJ; PJ thinks a double loop in a combo will be downgraded. Alexe looks happy with her skate; Score is 49.50/42.4=91.98 total 140.88 Currently 4th. She looks puzzled by the score. Probably don't think she under rotated.

Yikes, all the way down in 4th, and she didn't look happy at all (made a few faces). :(
Hopefully Amanda Dobbs & Caroline Zhang can score better for the USA!
Commercial running now.

I think she also got called for a wrong edge... either the Lutz or the Flip... not sure which... I still enjoyed it. She's a real charmer.

Oh so she fell on the 3R jump, here I thought she just stepped out of it, but like I said I don't have the best feed (it's like a 1/2 second behind everything, slow motion). Also, the commentators said she did a 3F/2T/2R, but I guess they misidentified it?
