It's really kind of surreal as Patrick Chan observed. We have been waiting and waiting and preparing for these Games for so long here in Vancouver and the lower Mainland and now it's here. I hear Olympic news on the radio, on the tv everyday and the roads are closed causing traffic headaches for some folks and yet here at work I would not even know such an event is happening. It kind of reminds me of Expo 86 - Lots going on in Vancouver, but quiet elsewhere. I have two weeks off starting Monday. I hope I get a chance to see some of the excitement....
