Cheltzie Lee was so darned cute, so petite next to the other Aussie athletes. I saw Tessa & Scott, Cynthia, Patrick Chan and Annabelle Langlois.

Too bad NBC skipped the Czechs! Would've loved to see a glimpse of Tomas and Michal in those funky pants! At least I got to see Jagr for a second.

Did anyone else recognize Barbara Ann Scott by her hair before her face was shown? Her hairstyle is as iconic as she is.
I did!Still looking amazing in her 80s!
Tanith and Ben were definately there and I think I read Johnny and Evan were there too. I'm not sure, but I thought I saw Mirai Nagasu.

Feel free to post any more links you can find!
Stephane was such a joy to see, he looked SO proud waving his flag!
When it comes to Beauty the gods kissed Barbara Ann right on the lips!
Thanks to everyone who posted links! I especially enjoyed the one of Mirai and Frank (in the lower left corner/US. team photo).
I saw Sasha on the big screen, I did spot Rachael, Meryl and Charlie. Julia and Lambiel were easy of course as they were their respective countrie's flag bearers (what an honor!).![]()
So did Yu-na and the Japanese Ladies not come?
I saw Stephane, Kevin and Julia as the Flag bearers. The German eurosport guy mentioned that Hongbo Zhao was the Chinese flagbearer, but I was just in the kitchen and when I jumped back to the TV the camera was somewhere else, so I didn't see him. I also missed Zaretsky, but I saw Lindemann, Nobu and Tugba (yes, it was her - also confirmed by the eurosport guy).
And I agree with those who say Barbara Ann Scott is gorgeous - I wish I would look that great when I'm half her age!
Thank you very much for all the pics...actually I didn't see the whole ceremony...I felt asleep (sorry, but here it was about 2am when it started..)
I definetely will need more coffee for the next nights...![]()
Saw most of the above. Also saw a shot of one of the Swedish skaters, whose name I'm about to butcher, but I think it's Adrian Schultheiss.
I thought Tugba was supposed to be the flag bearer for Turkey but the above quote says what happened. On Sunday Feb the 7th we received a call from the Gen. Secretary of Turkish NOC informing us that Tugba will be the flag bearer during the Opening Ceremonies. After confirming if we can announce it we shared our happiness and pride with you through this website and her blog. Today, Wednesday Feb the 10th, half an hour before Tugba's leaving home for airport and while she was getting interviewed with some other TVs on the spot, she received several calls from some Canadian and American TVs asking why her name is removed from the flag bearers list. With that confusion and shock we tried to reach the Gen. Secretary and we got a call an hour later from the Athletic Affairs GM confirming the change. We are dismayed more for hearing it from international TVs instead of hearing from our officials first. We have nothing more to comment on this matter and we sincerely apologize for raising your hopes unnecessarily.
