I don't think apart from the Mao, Miki, Akiko and Fumie, there isn't any other top tier skaters from Japan so far yet. The first three are pretty much a shooin for GP medals, and Kanako right now have more chances of getting a SGP medal than say Fumie.
Can a skater compete in both Junior and Senior grand prix at the same time??? JGP started at least 3 weeks earlier so Kanako can definitely enter at least one junior event as a warm up. But I'm sure Japan will definitely keep Mao (current Olympics silver medalist) and Kanako (current W junior champ) + one other Miki or Akiko, who ever finish in the 4-10th spot for NHK event.
