Leonova- weird fall on combo, triple lutz turned into combo-a bit off. Axel fine. She's cute, but she is a little sloppy to me. 54.36-14th place

Well the Free skate just got a lot more exciting. lol ^_^ Not to be mean, but at least there will be no definite winner!! Can Mao retain her title?? Will Marai pull Kimmie?? Will Yuna bounce back pull back Adam R?? Can Laura hang on to bronze?? Will Miki redeem herself and make sure Japan got 3 spots??

Too many questions!! My mind is going boogle!! =)

Wow, Mirai really rocked it! What a great and joyful SP she turned in!

She won the SP - now let's hope she can have a strong LP and medal.

I wouldn't say she's a great jumper tho. Landings are not so smooth and her edges is kinda wobbly going into jumps

I think I agree with you there, concerning Mirai. But I like her jumps much better now than when she was a junior. I think she will improve and be even better.

I can't get into Leonova's skating. But I love her spirit, and it's nice to see her do well, because she gets so happy. Too bad about the opening.

Yu na will come back and make the podium. I don't expect Yu na to win everything like the journalist and commentators. Yes everyone is right. Yu na usually kicks butt in the short and makes a few mistakes in the long. It's okay...she's a fighter.

Short interview with Mirai on Eurosport. Maurizio asks her if she already realizes that she is first after the short. Mirai: Definitely not. Asked what she expects for tomorrow. Mirai: That she skates good and gets all her jumps done. Maurizio wishes her good luck.

So do I. I think it would be a relief for all the ladies if someone could beat Kim after all. And I really loved Mirais SP.

I thought Mirai and Ksenia were the true stars of today, and Cynthia is quite a trooper to have to have all the responsibility for Canada.

Why? Because the women aren't doing well? Isn't this par for the course at Worlds? This is just ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with having Worlds after Olympics. All the other disciplines have been fine. Like I said earlier, the women just need to suck it up and deal.

Men's FS wasn't all that wonderful. Dance OD - many teams made mistakes, especially on twizzles. Of the lot, I think only D/W and V/M really whipped it.

Maybe it would be better to scrap Worlds post Olympics. The skaters just seem so tired!

Yes, I also expect Yu-Na to come back and medal, and it's what I want to happen. I was shocked by the spiral mistake, but I don't feel she is superhuman yet. It's got to be tough for her, for people to have such huge expectations of her every time. I was surprised she wanted to skate at Worlds, but if you think about it, based on how her season has gone this year (and the scoring), it could have been an easy chance to win another world title.

She is a great jumper. She has a really great tight air position and she does not hesitate going into jumps. Yes. Sometimes she can be a little unstable with landing. But I will tell you in the future she can be the one and she would become the better skater than Yuna in a year. Watch out everone!!!

Other disciplines are also missing Olympic champions. Men's field is missing Evan, Plushy, Weir, Lambiel, etc.

The others are hungry for the title. Yuna really has no reason to show up, and I have no idea why she bothered. There's a big difference in her motivation level and focus level.

I think Yuna skating at the world also has something to do with giving other korean skaters a chance to participate at the worlds next year cuz without Yuna I don't think Korea can secure more than one spot. Correct me if i'm wrong.

You may be right. She was really under no pressure to go, at least not from her Korean fans from what I can tell.

That might be true. I didn't think about that. It's quite generous of her to skate here, if that's the motivation. It's interesting to have the OGM skate at Worlds in an Olympic year.
