I hope that Mao will take a good look on why she get low marks. She will have to perfect that landing on her trip X.

I feel bad for Mirai, but I think she should be proud of herself for what she accomplished this season. I think she's grown as a competitor and may now be better in the future.
I don't think Mao winning the 2008 World title was "unbelievable". She fell on her 3A in the LP, but she did place 2nd in the LP, 1st overall anyways. Yu-Na, who won the LP, would have won the title if she didn't make a major mistake in her short, which put her considerably back coming into the long (Mao had a clean SP). I think people need to remember that there are in fact two phases of a figure skating competition--to use the old cliche, you can't win a competition in the SP but you can for sure lose one.
Carolina's silver, however, is much more debateable.
Then again looking at the actual DG's, to me seemed pretty obvious and well called...with the exception of Kostners 3toe (which I can't remember because I was in a trance as I watched her skate...going to have look at it again). I was more surprised that Miki didn't get a couple more URs. Some of those jumps looked fairly close and could have gone either way.
Did anyone else just hear all that behind the scenes stuff?!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a sucky World's for me! but happy for Mao- and congrats to all the medalists!
I would have ranked this LP as:
1. Asada
2. Kim
3. Phaneuf
4. Ando
5. Kostner
6. Suzuki
7. Makarova
8. Flatt
9. Nagasu
10. Lepisto
