actually I'm quite surprised that Scott and Dulebohn are ahead of Langlois & Archetto!! I wonder what happened... Bella and Patch

Scores look fairly close. First place is reachable. Happy for Scott and Dulebohn.

Great for S&D, but for Langlois and Archetto. I love their SP choreography, but think that he, especially, could be little more expressive. I haven't seen Scott and Dulebohn's SP, but I'm so glad they skated well. I wonder if this is a scoring event for them?

Actually, both S&D and L&A have Lalique as non-scoring. S&D have SA and NHK as scoring; L&A have SC and CoR

Too bad that the compoetition is non scoring for them but if they have a good skate that will give them mental confidence in the future. Also if they podium, then some other poor skaters get knocked down one place. There is strategy in this GP game. I think Sasha would have played strategy better if she did her non scoring in COR.

Joe, I was reading an interview with Mishin, and he said that this year even the seeded skaters could not choose which events they were going to do; that's why Plushy is not doing NHK. So, may be Sasha only had choice in so far as deciding which of her 3 events was going to be non-scoring.

Wow, congratulations Scott and Dulebohn! And yes, Joe, I read only recently that the seeded skaters did not get to choose their GP events this year. While it takes the stategizing out of it, OTOH, it also prevents skaters from only choosing "friendly rink" advantage events or minimal travel events and at least it "should" subject every skater to the same system. Sasha was assigned SA, SC, and Lalique. She was not assigned COR. Out of SA, SC, and Lalique I think she (or TT) was wise to make SC the nonscoring event since SA and SC are only a week apart, which leaves the skater who does both events back-to-back with no training time between and possibly fatigued. I haven't seen the Detailed Results for Lalique, but Sasha had two significant flubs on her jumps at SC in the LP. She probably would have lost SC if someone the calibre of Michelle or Irina or even close to them had been there. IMO, SC was the right GP event to select as nonscoring given her other assignments. But as it was Sasha won all three of her GP events, plus Campbell's so kudos to her for being 4 for 4 so far. (Sorry, OT.) Anyway, ITA that even though this was a nonscoring event for Scott/Dulebohn, there's nothing like a bronze medal in a strong field to build your self-confidence, or to be more precise, your "self-efficacy" i.e., the "Now I have proof I can do it" effect.

Now I'm really interested to see the pairs at Lalique. Hopefully I won't leave the cable box on the WRONG channel to record Lifetime's early morning broadcast like I did with SC. Instead of the SC pairs and dance I have three hours of infomercials. Argh!

But Sasha's CoP score turned out to be the highest at Skate Canada of all three of her events, even though it was her weakest performance. Just barely. She got 197.35 at Skate America, 197.60 at Skate Canada and 197.19 at Trophee Lalique. So the judging was very consistent, even though the skating was not.
