I feel it is very unfortunate that Lysacek got injured because of quad practices and had to stop having that jump in his programme. I think though that it is necessary for a future skater to have a quad, but that is not all. A skater needs to have a great choreography and to shine on every other skating area, too.Good for him but will he put it in a competition? How does doing a quad effect his spins and footwork and doing jumps after the halfway point in a free skate? I am just thinking of the fact that Brezina does a great one and hasn't done it in a competition. There are so many factors that must be considered now that the Olympic Gold medalists proved you dont need one.
