It looks like it's the same Shakalov that competed for UZB.

    LADIES:
    BLR Viktoria Liakhava
    EST Elena Glebova
    FIN Kiira Korpi
    FIN Laura Lepistö
    FIN Alisa Mikonsaaari
    FIN Cecilia Törn
    JPN Akiko Suzuki
    RUS Sofia Biryukova
    RUS Alena Leonova
    RUS Ksenia Makarova
    SWE Linnea Mellgren
    USA Amanda Dobbs

Again a battle of the russian senior ladies, not as interesting as the juniors but still Akiko can easily win this.

I doubt that,Ksenia isn't the least in there either, akiko better be careful she doesn't make any mistakes, she's not the youngest either.

Sinead Kerr suffered a subluxation of the shoulder in practice and there was no way that she was going to be able to recover in time. They have also withdrawn from 'Riverdance on Ice' which they were supposed to be performing in next week. They are hopeful that if Sinead's recovery goes well they will be able to participate in Skate Canada next month.

I guess videos are killing interest in photos... though i still think each has its own uses, I hope others feel the same way

Photos on my site by photographer Tomas Whitehouse, feel free to share the links, but if you want to use the photos ask the photographer first (including to upload to social networks).

    Ladies' Short Program

    1. Kiira KORPI FIN 60.42
    2. Akiko SUZUKI JPN 57.74
    3. Alena LEONOVA RUS 51.68
    4. Elena GLEBOVA EST 47.88
    5. Ksenia MAKAROVA RUS 46.44
    6. Amanda DOBBS USA 45.82
    7. Linnea MELLGREN SWE 43.32
    8. Ceilia TORN FIN 41.98
    9. Sofia BIRYUKOVA RUS 39.56
    10. Alisa MIKONSAARI FIN 36.22

Kiira! 3T-3T! Over 60 this early already!
Now Akiko has an "e" on her flip? In 2008-09 it was her flip that got an edge call, last year it was her lutz, this year it's back to her flip? Still a decent score though, only negative GOEs on the first combo (with the flip) Her PCS is higher now though

    Ksenia..
