It will be interesting to see the showdown between Shelepen, Ovcharova, and Siraj - who right now I would see as the medal favorites for the ladies. Nina Jiang also has a good chance to do well and maybe medal looking at this lineup. I'm so excited for the season to start!
Shelepen and Ovcharova-that should be good. Mark Shahmatov did well in Russian jr nationals.

According to a poster on FSU, Anna Ovcharova has withdrawn and will be replaced by Roza Sheveleva. Apparently Anna has some kind of injury which brings pain to her toes and is aggravated by toe pick jumps like lutz, flip, toe. Hope she is ok, this sounds like it could be serious.
Both Russian men (Kovalev and Shakhmatov) have been withdrawn from the Courchevel event, with no replacements.
That sucks,.... I guess the bad weather conditions in Moscow are taking their toll..Originally Posted by chuckm
