Now, finally, they plan an on-ice party to celebrate their union.

"We would like to combine our wedding with a superb figure skating gala, to express our gratitude to all friends and supporters," Zhao told the Xinhua news agency.

The couple said the gala, "Artistry on Ice", to be held September 4 in Beijing, would also feature Russia's Olympic champions Evgeni Plushenko (2006) and Alexei Yagudin (2002); two-time Swiss world champion Stéphane Lambiel; reigning world champion Mao Asada of Japan; and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir.
