Lambiel- fall on 4t (basically full rotation), 2ax, 3z fall (way off in the air).

Big hair, cute, v. cute costumeSpins of the most wonderful variety. All spins great and indescribably amazing. Smooth footwork. Fun program, music is Shakira's Objection Tango, very cool. Arg about the jumps!!

    Silvio Smalun- 3ax, 3t-3t (fallout), 3f (fallout).

American Rock n Roll musik. Funky shirt. Choreo awesome lots of it. Footwork good and expressive. Sit spin nice, needs more speed in this. Cam ch camel fine, final spin pretty good. Great program here, good transitions.

    Sasha's up next!

    Abt- 4t fallout-2t, 3ax great, 3z.

Sailor Dance song. Abt with the facial hair back to his a$$ kicking ways... YAY ABT! Frikkin awesome footwork, best so far. Spins ok (everything after Lambiel looks slow heh). Lots of energy and excitement in this program, way better than last season.

Fans yelling, cheering, pointing, waving Russian flags!

    5 Ivan DINEV BUL 52.44 24.14 28.30 5.75 5.50 5.65 5.75 5.65 0.00 #6

Ivan Dinev- 2ax, 3f, 3ax (fall). I think CoP is going to kill him for this...

Music is Feeling Begins. Funky moves and costume, sit change sit fine, footwork nice, spin combo needs work, slowed down. Everything looks small compared to Abt. End ftwk good, nice choreo.

    Results after first flight:
    1 Alexander ABT
    2 Frederic DAMBIER
    3 Stephane LAMBIEL
    4 Silvio SMALUN
    5 Ivan DINEV
    6 Kensuke NAKANIWA

Thanks to Hariboo for all of the detailed results!

    4 Sergei DAVYDOV BLR 57.20 28.80 28.40 5.90 5.50 5.65 5.70 5.65 0.00 #7

Davydov- 3ax-2t, 3z, 2ax (did he not get the memo on COP? 3ax combos are out and 3f-3t is in!)

Ruggedly handsome look in the K/C. Footwork sequences not as good as he can do. Needs more flow/difficulty. Spins pretty good, great end combo spin with layback in it. Nice job overall.

    3 Chengjiang LI CHN 65.77 33.82 31.95 6.55 6.05 6.50 6.40 6.45 0.00 #8

    Chengjiang Li- 4t-3t smooth, 3ax, 2r stepout/messed up...definitely only counts for a double jump.

Music is Tarzan. I think I heard this music on Survivor: Panama last night. Sit ch sit good, combo spin has some problems-- with camel and upright-- wonky. Footwork nice. Choreo good, I like this program, interesting and fun. Not the boring stuff we are used to from him!

    Plushenko- 4t (2ft)-2t (hd), 3ax smooth as butter, 3z.
Footwork fine, spins pretty good, camel to catchfoot good...strong program.

    Showing Mad Mishin after quad.

VERY close with Abt, I say. I liked Abt slightly better but it could go either way.

    6 Ben FERREIRA CAN 59.10 28.90 30.20 6.05 5.75 6.05 6.15 6.20 0.00 #11

Ferreira- 4t (hand down) -2t, 3ax (lands on both feet), I missed connection for the last jump.

Jazzy music, what a suprise. Ferreira is saying something is silly. I missed basically the whole program, as I knocked over the modem and got disconnected. As Ferreira is my least favorite skate of all time, I am ok with this.

Thanks for the running commentary, Bynx. It's just like watching on TV. Are you there?

Too bad Li missed his triple loop. I hope he pulls up in the free.

It was more than likely an injury that forced him to withdraw,
    but i can't be sure.
