I heard that she was sentenced to 4 years but I cannot confirm that.

I haven't heard any news about Nicole's sentence - only that she pleaded guilty and that her sentencing hearing was scheduled for August 5th.

Don't you have your trial and then are sentanced a while later, like weeks or even a month??? If sentenced wouldn't we know what that was right now??? Anybody know???At sentencing Aug. 5, Bobek faces a penalty that could range from probation to five years in prison.
There is nothing on the Google nor Yahoo news searches.
Found this article. Not sure if it's new. I believe so.
http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/new...e-in-drug-ringProsecutors say Nicole Bobek will not receive prison time. They will instead ask for a penalty of less than a year in the county jail.
here is a link to another artice that appeared today. Seems like she will get a year in county jail....if the judge agrees with the prosecutor. it appears that she will be sentenced today.

Or her involvement was being a user in real life, but it was overblown by the media into being a drug kingpin.
We don't have any way to know, really.
She received 5 years probation, and if she misses a single visit or fails a drug test, she will be in jail for the full 5 years.
She says she is working on her GED, and is working with Special Olympians for her community service requirement.

Yes, Nicole entered a plea of guilty for distributing/selling of meth. Her 5 year sentence was NOT for using but for dealing and being part of the distribution ring.
She got off with a very light sentence considering the prosecutors were asking for one year in jail and four years of probation.
Hopefully she can turn her life around.
