Miyahara has mastered the real lutz and the 2A-3T. Quite impressive score and contents for a novice. She can seriously contend for the podium at Jr nationals. Kato's performance was not bad as the score. According to the JSF official site, Tomotaki and Miyahara are scheduled to participate Asian Trophy in Bangkok in late August (I can't find any information on this event).

Thanks for posting, I heard about this but I wasn't sure where to see the results! Amazing for Miyahara, she'll be one to watch in the future for sure, she'll probably have no problem winning the Asian Trophy... maybe I can hope that somewhere there will tape her?

Article on Asian Trophy
http://www.todayonline.com/Sports/EDC100830-0000065/Figure-skaters-shine-in-Bangkok

Japanese skater Satoko Miyahara, 12, was just too good, scoring 135.88 pts to win gold

Details will come later.

Thank you for this. I've tried finding the result of the Asian Trophy, but I could not. Anyway, Miyahara Won!! I hope she can get the JGP slot.

Would you start a thread re Asian Trophy if you get the details, as this is not the competition in Japan.

Tokyo Summer FS competition (Aug 26-29)

Senior Ladies SP
1 Risa Shoji 48.90
2 Yuki Nishino 47.38
3 Karen Kemanai 46.78
4 Haruka Imai 42.38
5 Chisako Kiuchi 31.14
http://www.skatingjapan.jp/local/2010-2011/fs/13/01_ijs/data2303.pdf

Shoji and Kemanai attempted 3-3s (UR). Imai fell twice. Nishino failed the combo (intended 3Lz-3T?) but looks better than past two seasons. Shoji can do all triples without edge errors and the 2A-3T. I think she has the best potentials among this year's JPN junior ladies.

FYR, Shoji's FS at a competition in March.

I agree about Risa! I hope she does well at the SBC Cup. And I hope she keeps going for that 3-3 I think Karen might be able to do well too, her SP is usually her weak point anyway.

I'm worried about Nishino's jumps though especially since she has her JGP event coming up in two weeks :( But even after popping her combo like that her score seems pretty good.

Satoko's jump layout is really impressive!!
Not only that, she has a lot of transition so it's a joy to watch her performance:)
As she is very constantly well done( if she's not good shape, she failed only 1 or 2 in a few years),I guess she has a chance to win both novice and junior title.

As for Kako, really hope she gets JGP assignment!
