Looking at the Judges Scores:
- All 5 of Kristina Zaseeva's downgrades were for falls. Poor girl.
- Adelina Sotnikova had edge calls on both 3Lz jumps, as well as a downgrade on the 3Lo in her intended 3Lz-3Lo combo, and still managed to beat Yasmin Siraj. Good for her. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of her, as so far she seems to be the top Russian wunderkind on the circuit this season. She's not just winning, but getting great scores and has is succeeding (for the most part) with a difficult program content.
- Yasmin Siraj only got two -1 GOEs for her LP. The rest were either 0's or +1s or +2s. That's pretty cool.
-Kristiene Gong singled both her 3Lz attempts.

The margin between 1st/2nd and 3rd is huge! Only 5 points overall between Adelina and Yasmin, but about 26 between Yasmin and Yuki Nishino.

Adelina is lucky. It seems like the mandatory -3 GOE for edge call is no longer there. An edge call in the SP resulted in a -0.5, which is nothing. Another one is the LP resulted in a -0.6.

If the same rule 2 seasons ago applied, she would have lost at least 6-9 points on the 3 edge calls and lost to Yasmin.

Yasmin only attempted 5 triples. Adelina 7.
