Black stockings and skates on her
red bodice ripped latin top with black skirt for her
He's in black with a vee neck shirt
jump into twizzles, cautious but done
neat little jump by her in close hold
lift rotational might be too long
oh ah oh ah
more slow bongos
into pair spin pretty good speed
reverse spin nice leg position by him
Girl from ipanema sounding stuff
they are quite slow but attempting to be sexy
stumble in f/w
little foot pawing movements
very cool hydroblade lift into knee slide
faster music he falls splat
combo lift (hurriedly)
it keeps looking like they are cautious and thinking thru every move
little transition lift to end
Tibbets/Brubaker: Eh. Lovely curve lift. He falls while skating, but they had enough time to set up the combo lift afterwards. Infelicities in their steps (too far apart a couple of times) and first rotational lift (litle off balance at one point, but not danger of dropping). He's very tall but they haven't really worked around that. But that was a lovely curve lift. American ice-dance is so deep.
58.98 - yeah, they had two deductions. Presumably that lift was too long along with the fall.
Trojek and Arnold bored me, sorry, but they were cleaner. No more Amelie please.

She's in a bright light blue dress that doesn't flatter her
he's in black pants and a brown camo print v neck shirt with a stripe of the bright
blue that matches her
biellman around his neck short lift
better speed than T&B
crossing footwork for the twizzles
ended abruptly. problem?
f/w in close holds
nice lilt to their work
separation that went a bit long, intentional?
pair spin, slowing down to the reverse to the music box stuff
in Amelie waltz
Across the knee lift, very average
more f/w with kicks
break in music
little waltz jump in the f/w
rotational lift in a weak position
Should score considerably better than T&B.

Spanish flamenco dress, mostly black on her
burgundy puffy sleeve shirt black pants on him
guitar music with stomping noises
red fake rose in blond hair hers
twizzles out of sync they clap over heads
lift with awkward changes
she missed a lift that was supposed to go on his foot
very slow f/w in close holds
arm over head twizzle in it to be flamenco
rotational lift without much lift
into pair spin
rotating slow to slow music
finally some fast music
into f/w in close hold with kicks
combo lift on his knee with her knee over his shoulder, then rotational
too fast beats for them, and they have a kind of a slip
should be worse than the Canadians, IMO.
You know I really like the mood that Tibbetts and Brubaker creates with their programs- even with the hideous mistakes at this competition. They pick music that's not run of the mill and are a little different. Rachel reminds me a lot of a pre-blond Oksana Grischuk.
It almost seemed like they hadn't had enough time to practice their programs yet. If this is their first time on the senior international circuit- they must not have had to be "ready" with their programs this early in the season yet. It seemed like a few times they just forgot what to do next. I hope they keep going. I've seen them skate better than this competition would indicate.
