12:15 p.m.: Free dance, EST
However, icenetwork has their start time for streaming at 12:35 PM EST

The Kerrs in first and Crone & Poirier in second are separated her by hundredths of a point.
Carron & Jones in third and and Chock & Zuerlein in fourth are separated by less than half a point. The free dance is shaping up to being a very exciting event. Furthermore Paul and Islam and Gorshkova and Butikov should not be discounted as possible bronze medallists--C&J and C&Z have weaker FD's than their SD's. On the other hand, G&B's FD is not great either, which is why Paul and Islam might conceivably jump over the other other three teams here. P&I had a devastating mistake in one of the Golden Waltz segments where they completely lost track of what the steps were, so they are perhaps placed lower now than they will eventually finish.

The teams are listed below in reverse order of skate:

Sinead Kerr and John Kerr GBR (ISU Ranked 3rd)
Coach: Evgeni Platov
Choreographer: Evgeni Platov, Robert Royston
FD Exogenesis: Symphony Pt 3 Redemption by Muse
The Kerrs have not competed their FD this summer. However, this is the third season that they have used a program by Muse in a row. Perhaps third time will be the charm.

Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier CAN (ISU Ranked 9th)
Coach: Carol Lane, Juris Razguliaevs, Jon Lane
Choreographer: Christopher Dean
FD Eleanor Rigby by Lennon and McCartney, performed by Joshua Bell
Crone and Poirier have not competed the FD this summer. Although Eleanor Rigby is not the workhorse that, say Carmen, is, it has been used in good programs in the past. Dean did a program to Eleanor Rigby for the Duchesnays in 1988/1989. Also Davis and White used Eleanor Rigby for the 2007/2008 season. I wonder how this program will compare, especially to the Duchesnays' program.

Pernelle Carron and Lloyd Jones FRA (ISU Ranked 28th)
Coach: Muriel Zazoui, Romain Haguenauer, D. Ribas
Choreographer: Antonio Najarro
FD Paint It Black; Angie; both by the Rolling Stones
Carron and Jones won Coupe de Nice, but only placed fourth in the FD with a score of 65.88, due to a blown lift. It will be nice to see a program to somewhat more modern music than Caberet and the cha cha.

Madison Chock and Greg Zuerlein USA (ISU Ranked 14th)
Coach: Igor Shpilband, Marina Zueva
Choreographer: Igor Shpilband, Marina Zueva
FD Music, Music from Cabaret
First at LPIDC with a score of 72.14, but at the time they were using a different program to Santana. The new program is still rather new to them, and I would expect it to be somewhat unfinished looking.

Kristina Gorshkova and Vitali Butikov RUS (ISU Ranked 17th)
Coach: Elena Tchaikovskaia, Ksenia Rumiantseva
Choreographer: Elena Tchaikovskaia
FD Cha Cha by Santa Esmeralda; Manana de Carneval by Luis Miguel
Third at Finlandia in the free dance with a score of 75.85. Although well skated, this dance was a program that would have been embarassing in 1980 for being too old fashioned. It is further hampered by really bad music, and the fact that the cha cha does not translate particularly well to the ice. Also their costumes were quite bizarre.

I've merged this thread with the program info so that GSers who want to check who is skating to what and what scores they are carrying from the SD can check the first post in the thread easily.

The intent is to make this more convenient for dance fans!

Seconds to go!
