Gorshkova/Buitikov - i don't know what to think of this, it's an eyefull; these folks hardly looked at each other, behind the music from time to time, looked tired by the end, and the costumes looked like halloween.

C/P: This might be their first FD I can love. Lots of good stuff. Stuff to work on. Wow.

Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier CAN (ISU Ranked 9th)
Coach: Carol Lane, Juris Razguliaevs, Jon Lane
    Choreographer: Christopher Dean
FD Eleanor Rigby by Lennon and McCartney, performed by Joshua Bell
Crone and Poirier have not competed the FD this summer. Although Eleanor Rigby is not the workhorse that, say Carmen, is, it has been used in good programs in the past. Dean did a program to Eleanor Rigby for the Duchesnays in 1988/1989. Also Davis and White used Eleanor Rigby for the 2007/2008 season. I wonder how this program will compare, especially to the Duchesnays' program.
    Short Dance Results.

Love me some Christopher Dean choreo!

That was great, loved the program. C/P will be placing top 5 at worlds in no time.

She needs to improve more. Paul is too, too fabulous. She needs to catch up.

Yeah, doris, we generally agree about C/P, and I was really impressed. Also the outfits were surprisingly detailed for practice outfits, I thought.

Vanessa and Paul were brilliant! I am really impressed with them at this competition! I took notice of them at 2010 Worlds, but this event has made me fall in love with them!

Chock/Zuerlein - LOVE this program; I also like it is very different than SD; he needs to watch his posture, but really like the presentation with some good technical execution; almost forget to look at those great edges on the footwork, cool lifts etc since you look at the presentation.
