Verner was a delight to watch, straight out of a musical, fall out on the 3A, but great comeback with a gorgeous 3L, and easy 3/3 combo. to open it all. Great job, Thomas!

I love both of them, but I feel Brian's routine was better, more natural.

Thanks for posting that, demarinis5! I see now that Brian must've got downgraded on his jumps. :( Still I feel his PCS could've been a little bit better. But this is only 1/2 over, they still need to skate their Lps.

What a great night of skating though, I had a BLAST! (:^D

must not only be downgrades - could easylie be higher levels in spins, since joubert is rather weak in spins. perhaps he also did´nt have all the features in the step sequence. we will see when the details are up after long program anyway

There was a lack of musicality in this competition except for the European men.

Kozuka - fine skate but bland
Joubert - Also fine. He's not Lambiel but the attempt at Spanish was passable
Werner - ok and there is life in him yet.
Contesti - his best skating is behind him.
Voronov - his best since Sweden Worlds, but oh, so ordinary.
Minor - coming along and not going the Carriere way
Mroz - needs a lot of exhibitions; the tech is in line with all the others
Liebers - underscored, as usual

Overall - just no WOWs.
I kind of see something in Peitong for the future. Also his 'a la seconde' spin was unique.
