Omg, 2nd place for Brian?????
Omg, 2nd place for Brian?????
Lol, Brian's skate got 1.5 point more than Chan with 3 splats. Downgrades..?
Wow Joubert looks brand new, and the best 4-3 in bussiness!
Verner was a delight to watch, straight out of a musical, fall out on the 3A, but great comeback with a gorgeous 3L, and easy 3/3 combo. to open it all.Great job, Thomas!

Contesti was awful, he is not Bradley , this program was not humorous..
I like Brian's sp, I wish Plu had skated to this music.
I'm still in shock how Brian's gorgeous routine was put behind Kozuka by 3 pts? *baffled*
I honestly need an expert out there to explain it to me?????
I love both of them, but I feel Brian's routine was better, more natural.
C'est la vie, will await the LPs next!![]()

Low score for Brian, imo. Downgrades?
Congrats to Taka, Brian and Tomas. Loved all of their SP's. Also a shout out to Brandon and Ross 4th and 6th. They will be in the final flight.
I wish IN had instant replay so I could watch Brian & Takahiko's routines again, to see where the differences lie. Hmmm...

Thanks for posting that, demarinis5!I see now that Brian must've got downgraded on his jumps. :( Still I feel his PCS could've been a little bit better. But this is only 1/2 over, they still need to skate their Lps.
What a great night of skating though, I had a BLAST! (:^D
must not only be downgrades - could easylie be higher levels in spins, since joubert is rather weak in spins. perhaps he also did´nt have all the features in the step sequence. we will see when the details are up after long program anyway
There was a lack of musicality in this competition except for the European men.
Kozuka - fine skate but bland
Joubert - Also fine. He's not Lambiel but the attempt at Spanish was passable
Werner - ok and there is life in him yet.
Contesti - his best skating is behind him.
Voronov - his best since Sweden Worlds, but oh, so ordinary.
Minor - coming along and not going the Carriere way
Mroz - needs a lot of exhibitions; the tech is in line with all the others
Liebers - underscored, as usual
Overall - just no WOWs.
I kind of see something in Peitong for the future. Also his 'a la seconde' spin was unique.
