Ahh still a solid score. They get into first.

Go Maia and Alex!!! So happy they are guaranteed a medal. They had a strange mistake on their SD, and have one of the very best FDs of the season. Great job! I was in tears by the end![]()
He looked like he just lost the edge.
They barely beat the Shibs in the FD, but they'll get silver.
Charlie and Meryl both went down.
They got a third deduction
Even with the deductions, Meryl and Charlie kicked ***. Better to make the mistakes now, than later.
You know even with the falls- I can see the improvement in the interpretation by Meryl and Charlie. They've added in some small details in the movement and I also feel that they have a stronger sense of the emotional story.
There was one move at the beginning when Charlie has Meryl hooked around his legs- his expression was the most overtly sexy and adult that I've ever seen from him. Woah!!
I saw that they got 3 deductions- the first 2 obviously for the falls but I wonder what the 3rd one was for-- one of the lifts overtime?
Flukey last couple of performances in the FD.

Protocol time!!!
D/W were hit with an extended lift. They had two level two elements. Most startling to me was that their rotational lift was scored a level three. Given the position she hits and the very difficult hold, I think that level four might be too dangerous frankly.
C/P had one level two element. Maia/Alex had none (hghest base value of the night/highest TES). W/P got hit with an extended lift too and had one level one.
IN THE SD
D/W also lost points on the twizzle in terms of base value. W/P are really losing out on GOE, seeing half their advantage over C/P in terms of base value lost.

Looks like the final deduction for D/W was for an extended list per the protocols.
