Plushenko comes across as rather shy, but with a sense of humor. He is complimentary about his current competitors, but he realistically compares himself to them and knows he can beat them even though he isn't 100%.
I went to Campbell's in NYC and noted that he loves performing, and the audiences love him right back. What a showman!
