Chafik Bessegheir - Potential?

He looked to me like another Fench skater to add to their growing list. For a new face on the block, he has good stroking, good spins, good cariage, good camel positions and a 3x3 - albeit he is not yet up to the level of Joubert and Amodio or any other international top skater, but if he is serious and works hard, I think he will be in the top 10 before Sochi.

Do you think he has the makings of a top skater?

I heard he started at 12 or 13 because of the jumping so he does need to work on non-jumps and choreogrpahy and interpretation and all that PCS stuff.

I liked his speed too, and he had some serious spring in his axel and toe. He jumps UP in the air. I think with some extra exposure, he will develop fast.
