I must say Kozuka is already anointed as the national champion. The national judges have reached the conclusion that Kozuka with the home favorite PCS is the best option to counter "him" for the world gold. Takahashi is in the real danger of being left off the team even more, since his absence will help Kozuka's PCS very much. I'm also surprised with Hanyu's score. The PCS differences with Takahashi and Oda are much smaller than expected.

Thanks for the info. Happy for Kozuka, can't wait to see his SP. Dai's TES is so low. His jumps are really suffering and if it was not for his PC's
he would be much lower than 4th. Dai will have to bring it up a notch if he wants to medal. If he is injured(speculation on my part) the question is can he
bring it up a notch. I will be rooting for him. Good luck to the men in the FS.

Tell me about it. I have my fingers crossed they both medal here and make the World team. Going by the way they both have been skating this season
(especially Mao) I don't think it will be Gold for Mao and Dai this year. JMO (I hope I am wrong though)

On the other hand Taka K has been putting up the big numbers with great skating (albeit he has been criticized for lack of excitement in his programs which does not seem to bother the judges) He scored 87 and change without the almighty Quad. He may be the future for Japan heading into Worlds and the next Olympics.

He didn't say so as always but this time his coach Utako Nagamitsu spoke out "Although he never says so... He couldn't practice much. Please give the body, he use to be before the GPF, back to him. "
