Anyone else watched?
Bobrova/Soloviev were very lucky to be in first place with such a big margin. On the positive side, their GW was excellent. However, he had a big mistake in the twizzles. I also thought they looked frantic and unpolished compared to Ilinykh/Katsalapov and Riazanova/Tkachenko, who were both just on and had great performances.

I think the difference between R/T and I/K is just about right - they were both great and I think it comes down to taste on who you have first. R/T were more mature, but I/K were fiercer and had more attack.

I would have had it: I/K (tiny gap) R/T and (larger gap) B/S

Khoklova and Andreev were totally gifted. He's wooden as heck, and I thought Telegina/Molotov deserved to be ahead of them. T/M were my pleasant surprise of the competition - great bascis and a lovely program to Amelie. I thought they were hard done by the judging. I wish Khoklova had paired up with Volobuev - who is much better than his new partner and was right there in Svin/Zhuk's group!

I also watched the SD, here are my impressions:

Bobrova/Soloviev were good, he had a little problem on the twizzle(obviously) but he managed to held on this time. They were fast, intricate and had the best GW part.
Ilinukh/Katsalopov were gorgeous! For the first time I really liked their program. Their twizzles were to die for, good speed, slowed down a little on the GW, but then came back with a superb non-touching step sequence. This was by far their best performance of the SD(they kissed in the K%C, are they dating?:D). It's good they are in second place, as their FD is better than their SD
Riazanova/Tkachenko were also clean, I believe they were just slightly off on their twizzle, there was a litle hesitation, but other than that they were(to my untrained eye) better that I/K on the GW portion. The battle for silver will be intense.(but i don't like their FD)
Gorshkova/Butikov: I din't watch them , sorry, but their score is Ok so I guess they skated well
Khokhlova/Andreev: Big mistake on the twizzle from him. Also, their non-touching step sequence was slow and off unison. They were a bit overscored in my opinion

I'm holding mine crossed too! I would love to see them at worlds

Me too! I love this team so much and what a great performance from them today! And I also really liked Riazanova/Tkachenko, they were so beautiful and elegant, Ilia is a fantastic partner and Katya is gorgeous! Even though B/S were fast and their GW were the best, I wouldn't put them first... You know, I/K and R/T skated like champions and they have "it" and B/S just not...

Can't wait for Youtube links. Would love for both I/K and R/T to make the World team but I know that's impossible this season. In the long-term they have more potential than B/S.

16:15 for those who can get this for the SD-unfortunately, I'm not getting the speed I need, really. Interruptions about every 15 seconds.

I have the same problem, but if you let it sit on pause for a while it will load the 5-minute block and then you can watch it without interruption. My internet is slow and it takes about 15 minutes to load a 5-minutes portion.

:sheesh: I'll still have to wait and hope for YouTube..I have to sort out my computer problems in the new year. Might have to get a new video card or jack up my memory ( or both ). So I hope there are some good YouTube fairies out there.
