Wow, Timmy skated first and got some huge marks! He must have skated awesome. I hope we get to see the NHK short programs sometime before US Nats, LOL![]()
GO TIMMY, MATT, and JEFF!!!! :D :D :D :D
Uhh...sorry to burst your bubble, but Tim fell on his triple axel. I also think his TCS is a bit high. Judging from reports I heard, this was not a well skated competition.Originally posted by KwanFan1212

GO TIMMY, MATT, and JEFF!!!! :D :D :D :D
So, going to GPF:
Plushenko 24 pts
Buttle 18 pts
Weiss 15 pts
Van der Perrin 13 pts
Goebel 12 pts
Abt 10 pts
Congrats to Tim and Sasha! Great for Jeff!
As for alternates, it gets real crazy since a whole bunch of guys have 9 pts.
Pitchka - Isn't the Men's competition just the SP. The results could change.
Buttle is chasing Tim for lst place. Interesting.
Joe
I can't believe how close Buttle is. He must have not mad any mistakes. Did he leave out the quad?
Buttle fell on his quad. I read that the entire men's field was a splatfest. Joubert didn't fall, but tripled his quad attempt.I can't believe how close Buttle is. He must have not mad any mistakes. Did he leave out the quad?
Interesting. When is the men's final?
Today
about 11 hours away.
It may have been a splatfest, but ABT didn't fall.
The men take the ice tonight for the LP at 10:30 pm central time, 11:30 pm eastern time.
Goebel went to the hospital last night after his sp with food poisoning and he skates last tonight.
If Abt beats Joubert by enough points, he's in the Final - but it's going to be close.
Poor Goebel. He's had some "interesting" health issues to contend with.
I read somewhere that he was attempting to do a quad toe-triple toe combo then fell.Originally posted by Antilles

I guess Timmy does well when he's sick.
