I can't add to the old thread so these the updated compilations plus the new persoanal best lists, including only inaternationl scores.

Additionally, we have had lists of Highest Total Scores, Highest TES w BV by dorispulaski, Quads, and 3As by PB and GOE average by Progue. I maintain that next to Total, PCS is the best indicator of actual ranking in competitions. The other compilations note the skaters' specialties which are dangerous only as additional arsenals for high PCS skaters who are the all rounded competitors.

Chan is a among the list toppers on Total, PCS, TES and QUADS (both Solos and Combos), making him the most dangerous. Kozuka is among the highest of Total, TES and 3A PB, and he has broken the PCS 80 mark. Oda certainly has to be a WC contender sitting at or near the top of Total, TES, Quad Combo and 3A - both PB and GOE average. Takahashi is consistently the PCS king until the GPF but his TES and Quads have been low this season.

The Ladies' outlook is rather uncertain with the addition of OC Kim, who has no record for this season, and WC Mao, who has rebounded from self imposed set backs at tbe beginning of the season. Moreover, the field is more even as can be seen from the large number of skaters (23) within the 12 point spread, unlike in Men's, with only 11 names for the 16.70 point spread. Kim and perhaps Mao may change the scenario but their dominence is not assured.

Way to go back and forth!

Great job on the list too! Must've taken you a great deal of time, huh?

these averages of the jumps and pcs are interesting, but europeans have had one more competition (in theory) vs the rest of the world skaters... it'll be interesting to see the difference (if there's much of one) once 4CCs are done.

^^^For Men, Euro has not brought any high PCS and Total scores to the current data, though it has added a good number of quads and also pulled Joubert up in his numbers which had been miserable. Even his best records from his late competitions in Europe are only at the mid level of Global lists.

for Ladies, Kostner and Korpi had a chance to up their records somewhat from the Euro but they still don't have advantages over the N Americans and the Asians.

I will of course update after the 4CC. Kim and 2 WC contenders, Chan and Oda will not be there though I doubt their numbers will be much affected. It is, however, a redeeming opportunity for the American men.

but you're also averaging with a whole extra set of numbers, so percentages will be lower... (though I don't know your formula, and math is sooooooo not my forte!)

Toni, these, like my other lists, are not averages, just compilations of all the highest numbers and the condensation to just the best of each skater. I added a bit of my observations but they are basically just data and tools for each person to analyse and see what they see.

Progue did a very interesting list of averages of GOE point for 3As to rank the jumpers, with a "loophole" of not counting the popped jumps.

Interesting list. I'd also would like to see a list (or I can do it by myself if you want) about spin levels in international competitions this season, you know, like who got more level 4s

Chan 84.22
Takahashi 83.19
Kozuka 77.71
Oda 77.52
Abbott(2) 76.88
Verner 75.87

Ladies LP

Czisny 59.73 (74.66)
Kostner 59.63 (74.54)
Suzuki 57.83 (72.29)
Ando 57.16 (71.45)
Korpi(2) 56.24 (70.30)
Murakami 55.03 (68.75)

Men's SP

Takahash 44.88
Chan 40.57
Oda 38.73
Abbott(2) 38.44
Kozuka 37.28
Verner 36.77
Rippon(2) 36.77

Ladies' SP

Kostner 30.05 (37.56)
Korpi(2) 29.01
Czisny 28.36
Ando 28.00
Asada(2) 28.00

I still have to update the SPs to include the Euro.

ETA: the numbers in brackets for the Ladies are equvalences to Men's PCS because they have different factors to match their different TE requirements.

I think there was a conspiracy to low-ball Chan at Skate Canada. :p

I don't know, Mathman. Gachinski and Brezina? I was comparing Chan and Takahashi on another thread but I was made to be aware that I was just being overwhelmed by my favorite. :sheesh:

eta. Things are a little less clear cut if you look at the Total Scores list that I've also just updated.

LOL Well we all know one of the Japanese titan has to be low-ball. Last year, it was Kozuka; this year Oda. Next year who know??
