CBC is airing them (Canada). Which country are you in?

After this season, there is nothing definite in showing figure skating on TV. NBC will have merged with Comcast and depending on Comcast interest in a money losing enterprise, we have to wait and see. Unisport may continue limited coverage of figure skating.

The networks who run sports on TV are interested in profits. What commercial companies would sponsor figure skating? Not wines or beer businesses, etc. It has to be geared to a young crowd of viewers.

Universal Sports was NBC owned, so I assume it is now Comcast owned.

I'm hoping that Comcast will add it to their lineups nationwide.
If that's of interest to you, please go to the Universal Sports site and fill out their form for sending to your Comcast local cable group that you would like US sports!

If you are in the US, it's all UniSports. No NBC coverage...at least not same-weekend coverage, anyway.

Anyone have an information about live web access from other countries. We don't have Universal on our cable because it's not one of the channels offered. I had good luck with what I think was a Taipai station for Four Continents. Aunt Joyce provided a link. I just looked at it a minute ago and got a bit of what looked like maybe a Kurt Browning special from 2009. I could only read the 2009, which was in numbers, not the rest of it in Chinese.

I'm disappointed that Kurt Browning will not be commentating for Worlds because of Stars On Ice. He is however supposed to participate on CBC in some way. He has just been to Colorado Springs to tape something with Patrick Chan, who had to get rid of the (probably invisible) mustache he was trying to grow. Wonder if Ryan Bradley is still keeping his play off beard in a match with Patrick. He had nothing to show after 5 days either but hasn't reported a progress since then.

All I know is that British Eurosport is providing coverage (http://uk-tv-guide.com/), only Men and Ladies are live and Pairs and Dance are taped. I read that fans in North America watched the Euros on Eurosport at http://www.stream2watch.com/index.ph...&videoid=13650 - I tired it now and it's working. If it is on Russian Eurosport, you can access it on Web TV (http://www.rutelevision.com/index-en.asp PC only) or TVTeka (http://tvteka.com/ PC and Mac) - both need subscription or use 3-day free trial - or Georgian feed for free (http://tvali.ge/ 15mins delay).

Also, the last year, Russia 2 (Россия-2) showed the Worlds (I don't think it is publicised yet for this year); if it is the case, you can also access it on Web TV or TVTeka or Gerogian feed. TRT (Turkish TV) also had coverage last year (http://www.trt.net.tr/televizyon/).

Generally, I find this site very useful to find out on-line coverage in Europe. http://www.artonice.it/?q=en/event

    Good luck

Does anyone know if Universal Sports can be watched on-line in the US?

My satellite provider claims their are two different Universal Sports, and the one that shows skating, it seems, is not on provided by my company. So, I went online but since there are no comps right now, I couldn't figure out if I would have access this way - or if there is a way to join or pay a fee??

    Thanks for any info.

I'm not in the US (Canada) but I was on the UniSports website out of curiosity in the other day and I saw that you could pay $7.95 or something like that to watch certain events.

To be more precise it looks like for $9.95 you can get live and on-demand coverage of Worlds from Universal Sports (U.S. only).

RD - You keep abreast of these TV showings in the US, I am wondering why there was no 4CC on Unisport, NBC, and even Icenetwork? The Haydenettes are a lovely group, but they don't get me worked up for competition.

Are we going to have selected FS championships in the future? if any?

There may be (much delayed) coverage of Europeans and Four Continents on Universal Sports this month. My TV listings indicate that there will be some coverage of the European Championships on the evening of March 16th. I had read on another board that there will also be limited coverage of 4CC, but at the moment the listings don't show this, and the Universal Sports website isn't showing any coverage. Keep checking--it may pop up with only a few days' notice.
