it's not a tie, VM beat DW by .39pts

It's been qualified as a "tie" because many people were also written off V/M's chances completely, in fact, some went as far as saying they should just retire because they won't even medal at Worlds this year. :sheesh: I think the same people are just trying to get over the shock just how overly "optimistic" they were.

The results are really interesting, V/M in first, W/P highest TES and in third. FD is going to be really exciting. I'm hoping W/P can execute a strong FD and hold on to that bronze. V/M D/W showdown is going to be epic.

I've been using the same link in windows but I can only hear the audio. The screen is blank.

D/W's scores are a bit confusing. Their PCS is clearly higher in every category for this SD compared to V/M, but they lost the TES by nearly a point. Did they make an obvious error?

I heard Meryl Davis screwed up on the twizzle sequence. I couldn't watch, because I have a Mac and like others have said there was no feed for Mac users :(

I am glad to see the judges seem to judge what's on the ice as opposed to using past results to determine the competition here. Sounds like C/P didn't skate very well or if you ask me, honestly, their SD really didn't suit them at all. It's amazing they even got this far this season with that program.

That NOT qualified as a tie b/c just .39 can make a different between gold and silver. Gold and silver are not the same.

What is most interesting is to see Weaver & Poje with a TES higher than Davis & White by two whole points. Davis & White must have had a real error in their program I am thinking.

Thanks for the update. Now the scores make a bit more sense. Based on the way they are usually judged against one another, I could easily see V/M having the higher PCS and slightly lower TES vs D/W or having higher marks in both categories, but to win TES w/o also winning PCS seemed strange. The error, if it occurred, would seem to explain that.

It will be interesting to see how their scores shake out when they are both clean.

Currently #6. Greg wobbled duriing twizzles. Poor Greg. It was a cautious performance.

Weaver/Poje beat Crone/Poirier at the GPF in the SD only to lose to them by the end. Just sayin'

The lead is more substantial this time and W/P actually stumbled during the SD at GPF yet they still placed ahead of C/P. FD will be interesting. Don't count the Shibutani out yet, they are in hunt for a medal as well.

I thought that V&M might get gifted on the PCS, but it turns out that D&W got the nod there. I don't have a problem with D&W finishing in second if Meryl made a major error. The judging sounds pretty fair. The reason D&W didn't win Worlds was their PCS. The FD should be interesting. I hope the marks will continue to be fair for all the couples.
