Is that Thornhill ..because now that it will be a Senior B competition , there won't be an Ice Dance category.
The Thornhill announcement is here:

This is the "regular" competition. There will be men, ladies, pairs, dance right up through Senior level, same as always.
The Senior B will be a separate competition in parallel; the announcement hasn't been published yet, to my knowledge.
ETA: It's strange that Minto has been scheduled on the same dates as Lake Placid. Minto had a really good dance field last year.

Aha ! Thanks , callalily..I feel much better about that !
So who is actually going to Minto? Based on the entries for Lake Placid for Junior and Senior, it seems like most of the Canadian teams are heading to Lake Placid? Where are Orford/Williams competing? They are the only team from the top 6 from Junior last year not accounted for. BC and Quebec are skating in Lake Placid. Usually Skate Canada has monitoring at Minto. Is that now going to be Lake Placid?
Another option would be for the dancers to be monitored at Thornhill, especially since Minto and Lake Placid are scheduled on the same weekend.
Maybe it's advantageous to compete again a deep Lake Placid field, then be monitored by SC in mid-August at the Thornhill event.
