Shpilband/Zoueva Teams Working With Former DWTS Competitor for New Season

Here's an interesting and cool new article on how the Canton teams are preparing for the next season. Given some of the comments here (and I suspect elsewhere) after Worlds expressing some reservations about this school becoming too insular and concentrated in it's influence, this new development should provide an extra layer of intrigue heading into the Fall. I know all these teams are well known for seeking outside help with developing lifts, improving facial expression, line and learning the feel of their dances. But this is the first instance I can recall of them using an outside choreographer since they moved to seniors. Can anyone confirm or correct this?

I can't the whole world podium is one group. The whole thing with the Shibutani's is just shocking and revolutionary and the whole future is theirs.

Yes. Davis and White worked with an Indian choreographer for their Bollywood OD, Anuja Rajendra, who collaborated with Z&S on the choreography. A similar relationaship appears to be going on here.

The Canton teams have been routinely taking ballroom/on the floor dance training to give their dances an authentic feel. V&M consulted with a flamenco dancer for the 2010 OD, and I think also Latin dancers for their Latin FD. However, AFAIR the consultant who got most involved with the choreo previously wouild be Rajendra.
