Yes, it would make it awkward for each Grand Prix event used their own scoring method, but I still feel there are valid arguments on how the COP was instituted.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on how the CoP was instituted mpal2. And your thoughts on "the cover-up"

It's not a cover-up. They just blatantly pushed a "project" through as fact. There were several federations that complained that this "project" did not go through proper channels.

I will go back and see if I can find a link to some of last summer's COP discussions.

I'm not sure what you mean by "as fact" since the Cop is in a test phase this year, which would seem to me to be equal to "project"

And I'm not sure what you mean by "pushed" unless you mean "voted on"


I would think it could not be considered "fact" until after the Congress votes on it this summer, and it is implemented in Championships next year.

I'm not sure how the current use of the COP can be considered a test. It is used to determine final rankings for the 2003 Grand Prix events and in the ISU's ranking of skaters. There is no test; it's fact that has become something everyone has to deal with for good or bad.

The second link I provided under NISA's complaint says that 5 other countries including Australia and Japan have similar concerns or complaints. Does anyone know who the other 3 are?
