and Terry is a color commentator, not an expert commentator. She's confirming her opinion with the expert, not with some guy who's basically a moderator and random fact giver.

It's still weird. She isn't asking for confirmation, just stating some fact or opinion. The presence of "fact giver" Terry Gannon is the only thing that makes the NBC/Universal commentary bearable, IMO,
victoria seems to rush through her arm movements a bit. makes her look a little frantic.
Didn't she do it last year at the GPF? She did some kind of three jump combo.

If they didn't look so much alike, I'd say either Vika or Joshi was adopted, because Vika's skating is so much smoother. Beautiful edges, control and stroking, higher jumps too when she lands them.
I think we've had this discussion before. Terry is not the color commentator. He is the announcer (play by play or otherwise). "Color" commentators and "expert" commentators are the specialists in whatever field. In football it is the former player. In politics it is the former politician. In music it is the musician. In skating it is the skater.
Actually last night she and Terry had a great conversation about dance. Maybe, since she and Scott are the expert/color commentators, they are sort of teamed together while Terry is keeping track of the basics of the competition.Does Tracy Wilson know Terry Gannon is there? She keeps addressing Scott only. What happened to Sandra, by the way (not that I'm complaining about her absence)?
that's what I mean by confirmation. Tracy is not the "expert" in singles skating. she's commentated it a lot through the years but she has always deferred to her singles or pairs experienced co-commentator.
I don't like Tracy's style, anyway, because it is odd and annoying... Terry went to school for this stuff, so he's going to sound normal compared to any "expert" he's with. But even he sounds annoyed at being "ignored"
