My live play by play for anyone without a video feed will be available at http://icemusings.blogspot.com/2011/...ree-skate.html. The event starts at 4:15 EST and my blog will be updated after each skater. Could be a tough fight for bronze here with the scores so close.
To tell the truth I'm not as pumped for this competition as I am for the men. And that's b/c I find the women dull, safe, and unexciting, even the new Russian phenoms.
Except for Adelina's creative "Bolero", complete with a purple jumpsuit, everything else is blah. Same old same old. I miss the excitement and passion of the old Mao Asada, especially at the 2010 Olympics. Ah, thast was one for the ages, I still remember the feeling of wanting to run outside around the block a couple of dozen times when she hit those gorgeous 3axels!
Those were the days...

I agree a little bit, i mean we all know Carolina can never lose the gold, so much for the excitement.

Qiuying Zhu (CHN)
Music: Scent of a Woman (soundtrack) by Thomas Newman
3F - looked UR, 3turn on landing
3T - hand down/fall
3T+2T - looked UR on both
... stream effed up ... what did I miss?
LSp - not very pretty
Too bad about the opening obvious 2-foot on the 3F and then the subsequent fall on the 3T, but nice comeback with a lovely 3S, and two nice solid 2As.
Needs to work on speed and spins though.
