The name of the special was Rain. Rain is a Beatles tribute band that performs in Sgt. Pepper costumes, and other Beatles costumes. Brian Boitano, Steven Cousins, Ryan Bradley, Sarah Hughes, Yuko Sato, Shae Lynn Bourne, the Kerrs, & Lang & Tchernyshev skated. Possibly some of it will show up on youtube, although like most of these Disson specials, for my taste, there is too much filming of the band and not enough of the skating.

Disson put up a sneak peek of Boitano skating.

interview Todd Eldredge on the Today show and performs a version of the "When I'm 64" routine that he did in the show on the outdoor rink at Rockefeller Center.

Thank you, Doris. We have been catching up with Cup of China, so we haven't got to see "Rain" yet. Saw "Rain" on the National tour, and thought it was fabulous. As always, I want to see 'balance" in the Disson shows (I can dream, can't I?), but I am still looking forward to this. Beatles music!

"Ilabach" is a personal friend of mine (njtoddfan, Tara, from Northern NJ), and I am so grateful to her for all the Todd videos she has put up. If you have the "Ovation" channel, this show will be reaired at some point.

I've seen RAIN (just the band not with skating) and they are quite good.

I am with Doris. Having said that, I am not really a Beatles fan but these guys were good. While it was nice to see Naomi and Peter and the Kerrs and some of the rest, the small ice is problamatic, the dim light coupled with spotlights in the eyes and cutaways to the band make the enjoyment of skaters hard. Much of the show was about marketing of "Rain", but then it was nice to see TE's lady friend and Shae-Lynn's new husband.
I record these specials and fast forward though all the marketing and skaters I would not rather see and watch about 20-30 percent of the two hours. If you watch the Youtube sections, then you wont have missed much.
Watch Todd's routine in 720 res and you will see that with all the distractions going on, it is hard to focus on him and enjoy his skating....I am not coming down on these special, mind you...they are just not my cup of tea.
Still, if you missed it and feel you would really like to see it, send me a pm and perhaps I can direct you to someone that can help you out.

ITA!

We just finished watching the show, and thought it was one of the better Disson shows (more balance in this one). Wish I could edit the ads (we'll just have to keep fast forwarding them), but I do like the "fluff" pieces with the skaters.

I checked the fs schedule and the show will be reaired on Thursday, November 24 on the ovation Network.

My wife and I used to attend all the Stars on Ice and Champs on ice shows when they came to Spokane...really enjoyed them, got front row seats, and dont remember that there was this much, well, eye clutter.....then SkateAmerica came to Spokane in 2002 and I got hooked on competition....then the arena stopped filling for the shows and they stopped comming here but I really dont miss them. Despite flying being so obnoxious (gag, vomit) the comps are only a plane flight away....I am looking forward to "Tribute".....
