So is it oficial that Wilson won't make the choreography for the LP? that would be good news for me :p

I think this may be my first post here on the yuzuru thread, but i am a HUGE fan also of his.
While i loved R&J 2 with both the costume and the chorography, I am very interested to see Yuzu branch out with some new styles. I always hoped that maybe Stephane Lambiel would work with him. I think he would add something of emotional elements and his spins could only get even more amazing.

I don´t know exactly how it works. But couln´t it be posible that they are asking different choreographers to do rutines for Yuzuru?

Borser said that "a young skater" like Yuzuru should try different programs before finding one that fit him.

Some of you may not like anime, but I saw Evangelion mentioned on the Tumbler, I dare to suggest this

"A Cruel Angel's Thesis", Japanese version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHzHgESebM4

English version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-TxGEHvYKQ

It was difficult for me to understand this English version as she sings so first, but in the Japanese version, there is a phrase "You will notice someday you have wings on your back for the future far ahead." Very Yuzuru, I think.

But, maybe for his EX ;)

If Shae-Lynn announced it like that, officially, they must have reached an agreement already. Things like this have to be worked out in advance, as I imagine she has a pretty busy schedule. It doesn't mean that they have worked out the details, the music etc. it can be that she was just asked and agreed, and everything else will come later.
Saying that she is going to do it is not a faux pas, btw. It would have been if she had announced things like the music etc. without consulting first.

Now we'll see who does the short. Yuzuru was talking about working out the details with Brian and Buttle a few weeks ago, but maybe something has changed in the meantime.

I'd love it if Yuzu skated to Cruel Angel's Thesis.

In fact, I'm hoping someone would break out with a J-pop song next season. Since this lyrics thing is apparently becoming real, might as well as take advantage of it. (I don't think the rule will be here to stay... at least I hope not... so might as well as roll with the cheese for a few crazy seasons).

i have the dvd´s <3
So do I by now, but back in the olden days (also known as the 90s) when I wanted to get the show it was only available on VHS (I'm feeling kinda ancient )

I'm kinda hoping some of the skaters might choose songs in their own first language. That could certainly add diversity and make things a little more 'personal' (for lack of a better term).
But that's probably wishful thinking, I'm not really holding my breath here. I guess most of them will stick with what they know and then there's always the judges to worry about... oh well :) we'll see

I suspect I'll prefer watching skates to songs in languages I don't understand (or half-understand, in the case of Japanese). Personally, lyrics are distracting to me. Doesn't allow me to focus on the actual skating. I don't even like lyrics in ice dance. I enjoy vocal music far more than instrumental music, but I don't want people to skate to vocal music during competitions. Hence why I hope the rule isn't here to stay.

But because of the novelty of the rule, I expect many skaters to take advantage of it. I'd rather it be people I like rather than people I dislike. I can either rage about the rule and spend the next season with my head in my hands... or I can just laugh it off and have fun with it. And if somebody's going to break out screamo or reggae (I have a terrible feeling someone will try it...), I hope there's a decent song like Cruel Angel's Thesis to balance it out.

I'm also not very amused of this new rule allowing lyrics but I think it will create more diversity in the programs so I'll just wait and see

oh, you guys know your classical
how about a Prokofiev sonata?
ha. kidding. I'll probably die before someone skates to a Prokofiev piece that's not Romeo & Juliet. His 5th symphony is a favorite of mine - not sure how skatable it is, though.
;) Classical music is my first and foremost passion. Actually I would love to see the kid to skate to THIS movement, but it's so difficult to skate along, I dare any world class choreography do this, 2nd movement of Beethoven sym 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXJTe4pUguU

I also love Prokofiev, his Dance of the Knights could be a good choice for Yuzuru, very heroic and epic and fresh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUmq1cpcglQ

But personally I think lilahozi's choice is the best, Dvorak's music is very catchy.

my two passions, classical music and skating
the 7th, I love the 7th.
I personally want to hear piano concertos other than Rach 2. There's Grieg, Brahms 2, Rach 3, Ravel, Tchaikovsky 1 (someone needs to do this piece justice, I can't stand Kovtun's long), Chopin 2 (and his other pieces! he wrote so much more than that nocturne)

Prokofiev *-* my love *-*
but I agree about the Dvorak! legendary symphony.
