In case if anyone appreciates some classic 70's shoujo manga, someone drew Hanyu in his Chopin outfit in the style of Rose of Versailles: https://twitter.com/629Miky/status/500975886699470848/photo/1

The new Yuzuru 2015 calendar is coming out in September, and is available for pre-order at CD Japan. There will be a desktop version and a regular version...here is a link if you want to pre-order.

I wonder if he'll do it?

There is new interview with Yuzuru in today Chunichi Shimbun - http://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bvn3oInCEAEIRu0.jpg:orig?.jpg

It would be great if someone could translate or summarize it, it looks quite interesting. Title is "Challenging myself is my policy".

Yuzuru has just repeated that he wants to go pro after the next Olympic in a recent interview.
Kinda sad though, but we all know FS career is not long. I bet he will try his best in the next 4 years in every competition, maybe that's why he planed all the quads in LP: http://seobiiiiieluv.tumblr.com/post/95468000327/cr-yuzu-ka127

He has nominated Sasshi and Kim from Pandalion.

Do you hear him sigh before he pour water over his head?? That's soooo cute~~~!
 "(sighs) why couldn't they make this a hot tub challenge......"

We're all writing as if he's never gonna skate again after the 2018 Olympics! He'll definitely perform in ice shows and plus --we still have 4 whole years to appreciate his skating in competition.
I couldn't agree more  plus, right now I'm much too busy looking forward to the next season, never mind thinking about the day the kid can't stand on skates anymore

【news】Japan Karaoke Industrialist Association donates ¥10 per quest of “夢に描くキセキ” in shop.

Today, All-Japan Karaoke Industrialist Association releases a new campaign for "The Day of karaoke culture” this year.

http://www.karaoke.or.jp/bunka/index.php

As Yuzu ever mentioned in Sochi press conference that he hoped his gold medal of OG could be a new start to help the recovery of 311, the Association decided to choose the Yuzu’s supporting song “夢に描くキセキ” as the theme song to fund raising for recovery and also cheer for Yuzu in 2018 Olympics.

They will release the original sound of song and its Karaoke version in shops from September to let people practice to sing. The campaign will start from October 17 (the day of karaoke culture) until the end of November. During the campaign period, they will donate ¥10 for each request in shops.

Let’s sing, Yuzu fans!

Lol, his signature as a kid was his name inside a mushroom with JPN under it and skating blades under that  What a cutie http://horiyan.tumblr.com/image/95542274301

I always thought it was a mushroom signature but never knew what all the extra stuff was (when he signs now, its not as neat :p) I was thinking it might be wings haha

I wonder how long it took him to come up with that, I mean it pretty much describes him perfectly. A Plushenko fan named Yuzuru Hanyu that figure skates for Japan.

Yes, he is indeed a very good sport! And we all know how he LOVES to challenge his own limits too! I just hope that he won't get sick because of this.
I knew he'd do it!!! He's not going to be outdone by anybody.

This is a guy who trains daily in a cold rink and does the most difficult programs in the world. A little ice water isn't going to hurt him or make him sick. He's a lot stronger than that.

Could it be the initials of four mythical creatures in ancient folklore? Some protect his health, some help him win, etc. Just guessing.

Some years ago when I was 14 or so I looked up mythical creatures for a bunch of countries. Japan's surprised me the most. They have this one called a Kappa. Here are some statue examples. I have also seen them portrayed cutely. Some sources say they're 'lizard-like' but I think they look like turtles. Anywho, Kappa- and I am not kidding here - are supposed to be mischievous creatures who look up women's skirts and tease children or even worse, commit very violent acts of crime. Most of all, they want to take someone's shirikodama (a ball that contains a person's soul) which just so happens to be located in the anus.

Ok well, that's what the K stands for then.....

The mythical creatures and monsters of Japan are some of the most *** in the world I think.
The haunted Geta, the Ghost that licks things in the Toilet, the Sheet that tries to strangle you. No back story, just a strange monster. hehehe. So much fun.

I just read about the 'Aka Manto' on wiki and I may never use a public bathroom if I ever end up in Japan.

But to swing this sorta back on topic, which band plays the song in the free download on page 633? I really like it

【video】Yuzu's R&J 1 promotion clip on August 30.

Source: fancam @http://telly.com/1N40YK9

Today, NTV broadcast a promotion video of Yuzu's performance on August 30. Highlights as following:

* He visited the high school of Ishinomagi, the second city of Miyagi and was severely damaged in 311 earthquake. As usual, his posture of “ㄟ” got girls’ screaming.;)

* The theme of event this year is “small miracle, large miracle”. Yuzu answered the R&J 1 he performed in Nice Worlds 2012 was a miracle to himself. He got the bronze medal even he was not in a good physical condition then. That’s why he chose the program on August 30.
