So it seems like this is his FS jump layout:
4T, 4S, 3A, CSSp, StSq, 3A-2T(3A-3T?), 3Lz-2T(tano), 3Lz, 3Lo, FCCoSp, 3F, ChSq, CCoSp

...I'm already out of breath

Yeah, it was probably supposed to be 3A-3T. Also from what I read, first one is 3A from steps, the one in combination is from a spiral. And there's a combo missing?
He's also still doing both the ina bauer and the biellmann spin.
I wonder if having the flip as his last jump is a good idea? Considering he tends to lip.

Yuzuru was supposed to skate here but he got hurt during practice in Canada on the 12th. He hurt his right ankle again... it's the same one he injured (avulsion fracture, he had to rest for a month before he could resume skating) before the SP in Nice. Let's hope it's something minor this time, or a precaution.

Does anyone know if Hanyu is skating injured at Findlandia Trophy or has the injury from last month healed?

It looks to me he is still slightly injured. Slightly as in it doesn't look too bad, but he's still holding onto his knees.

Not really a masterpiece FS from Mr. “Hanyu who??” Wilson...

but the biggest question seems to be if Yuzu is definitely healthy or not considering his new daily training schedule.

Wohoo Yuzuru won the Finlandia Trophy, and I was lucky enough to be there to see it!

And what a competition it was! You should look it up, short programme is here http://player.qbrick.com/player.aspx?ccid=1A406C14BBFD8170&width=942&height=546 and free skate here http://areena.yle.fi/?q=taitoluistelu&jarjestys=uusin&media=video (it's not there yet, but will be in a few hours).

Wow aren't you lucky! How was the feeling of the FS to you? In video it seemed disconnected to the music and jump focused to me.

Well, it was the first time I saw his FS so I can't "analyze" it yet, but my first impression is that it was wonderful, a bit similar to his last season's FS (the structure of the programme and because the music was somewhat similar in its atmosphere), a quality programme indeed. Let's see how he performs it later this season and wether my opinion changes later.

Speaking about the new FS I think it’s a pity that the Spread eagle/3A has been removed , since it’s clearly an amazing Yuzu’s strength which I hope will be back in next competitions.

At the same time I hope they fix the Ina Bauer problem , because he was not able to perform it before the steps/3F as the required effort to perform both elements in sequence is evidently excessive for him. Finally, I’m missing his very original twizzles so much, too ! :p

But continuously rumors about injury and Hanyu’s poor physical condition should act as a red flag for his canadian team and for JSF.
Last Saturday he had a bad morning practice with many painful falls, and it has been reported he badly fell on his every jump in the FS warm up too . I wish Orser would be very careful with Yuzu’ s intensive training or it won’t be a big surprise if he gets seriously injured some day.

He’s also so thin and asthma doesn’t certaily help.

Skate America is going to start and the “Sound of Silence” around Hanyu is deafening and quite shocking…:rolleye:

I hope I won’t see him lying on the ice again trying desperately to grab some oxygen , nor limping and shaking his head while reaching the K&C after a FS in which two differents quads and two 3A were landed at just 17 .

Go Yuzuru, you’re so strong minded!!

In the recent issue of World Figure Skatinf Season Guide, devoted to Team Japan (some pics are here: http://twitpic.com/e/2j7h ), there is an interview with Yuzu about his training in Toronto. He again said that it was his choice to change the coach because he wanted to work with a foreign specialist with non-Japanese ideas (?). At first he felt it would be some kind of challenge to skate with Javi at the same rink. But now he feels very confortable with it and they are good friends. He is working on 4T and 4S which are not yet stable for now, but he changed the techique, when the power doesn't go out but he keeps it inside himself to focus on jumps (whatever that means). He said a lot of good words about Natalia Bestemyanova.

Here is a separate TV clip on Yuzu:

yes, it’s very nice to see how Fernandez and Hanyu support each other, and the tickle episode in the Finland Trophy podium , while they were taking pictures of medalists , is

I would be very curious to know what Yuzu said about Bestemianova specifically…

Did he say anything about his physical condition after the FS in Finland?

Many thanks for the link and translation!! :)

I think the interview was taken before Finlandia Trophy. He didn't say much about Natalia, said only that he learned from her how to skate with powerful emotions, to skatein an expressive way. Interesting that he speaks about her and not about Igor. He mentioned Plush as well, said that he always admired him, his aura. He saw how professionally Plu did at PIW shows, where they were with Hanyu together on the cast. Plu told Hanyu once that if he will be working hard, he will win over Plu. The cutest thing that Hanyu said in the interview is that he doesn't want to compete against Dai, Plu and Kozuka because he respects and admires them so much, that he doesn't want to win over them. Lol. In Toronto besides skating he does nothing, just rest to keep his body well. His mom told him after the injury that he should be more careful about his health, but he answered that he doesn't understand that because he is an athlete! In pics and video he looks quite comfortable. :)
